It’s time to rest soon and no one can imagine a holiday with a toothache that can thwart all plans. If you are planning a trip abroad in the near future, it is worth going to your dentist for a check-up and filling cavities. Why is it so important? For a simple reason – cost. A visit to the dentist abroad may turn out to be more expensive than the entire holiday trip.
If you are going abroad, remember about the EHIC (European Health Insurance Card). It will provide free treatment or partial reimbursement in European countries. The bad news, unfortunately, is that it does not apply in all EU countries, e.g. in Spain or Italy, you have to pay for a visit to the dentist yourself.
Not only the high cost of treatment may lead us to a check-up visit. It is worth remembering that even a slightly decayed tooth can cause serious pain problems. And as you know, holidays are a time of relaxation, not fear of a gigantic dentist bill.
